I My Mom...

So a few years back, my parents had a computer set up in their room so they could enhance and practice typing in Korean. For a little while, my mom and I sent emails to each other in Korean. When I say "a little while" I mean for 2 days. Needless to say, her typing didn't improve much - but I'm sure her two index fingers got quite the workout each time she used the computer.

I wanted to show my mom a vast array of purses that could only be viewed online because I knew she wanted a new purse for some time now. So I called her up and told her to hop on my brother's computer, just for a little bit, while he was away. After 25 minutes of what seemed to be a futile effort on my part, my mom finally discovered her how to view IMs when a person has an away message up on AIM. Upon sending the link to her via AIM she started to browse. 15 minutes goes by when she finally decided that nothing stands out in particular. Instead, my mom wanted to chat.

5 minutes go by... all the while I can hear her fingernail clicking as she types away on the keyboard o.n.e. l.e.t.t.e.r. p.e.r. 3.0. s.e.c.o.n.d.s. I am thankful God made our index fingers strong.

By the fourth minute or so, I got HES.

Heavy Eyelids Syndrome.

So I decided to close my eyes for a bit... when I opened them again, I found this --

    rorr1m: I LOVE YOU ALLWEYS

I'm not going to lie... my vision got blurred for a good minute or so... stupid dust particles floating around in the air..................

I am reminded of not only my parents love for me, but also of God's love for me. Despite all my shortcomings and failings, I know that I am loved... ALLWEYS.

As are you.

Happy New Years!!

Coming soon: 2007 resolutions

...so keep those eyes peeled.

::edit::

as promised..."The List"

2007 Resolutions

  • Read the bible front to back. 3 chapters a day!! I gots dis.
  • Visit ISR more often... gotta make myself more available to the underclassmen. Try to be a good older sister in Christ to them.
  • "Early to bed, early to rise" No more sleeping past 2... only if it's ABSOLUTELY unavoidable.
  • Publish a med journal.
  • Less chatting, more of being productive. This means going on AIM only AFTER I'm doing with everything. OY.
  • Take more pictures! Thanks to a certain someone ( ) I am now able to. A picture says a thousand words... I think it's very true.
  • Learn how to skate backwards! and if I get really good... a triple salchow!! have that ambulance ready!!
  • Learn how to swim like a fish... although I think I'm being a bit too ambitious with this one.
  • Be more of an active small group member, and contribute more during bible study.
  • Play more guitar so that I can play like this
  • GET A 4.0
  • Relearn the salsa, tango, and meringue so I can be on "Dancing with the Stars"
  • Go to morning prayer at least 3 times a week
  • Knit a scarf and hat... perhaps even mittens!
  • Make a scrapbook
  • Cook for small group more often
  • More faith & trust... I don't know what the future holds. But God does.
  • Go to at least 90% of my classes
  • Run more... eliptical machine counts, right?
  • Get better at writing/typing Korean
  • Dunk like KOBE
  • Just kidding. I just want to be able to finish my layups cleanly
  • Learn at least 7 dishes that AREN'T korean
  • Beberé más agua porque es bueno para mí
  • Take a road trip to the East Coast. Sink my toes into the white sands of the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Grow deeper and deeper in love with my Father as He continues to break, mold, and shape me into the woman of God He wants me to be.

"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start,
anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending."
-- Carl Bard

Here's to what I hope will truly be, a happy new year --

"check 1, 2...check 1, 2, 3"

So it's been a while...<shifty eyes>...a long, long while? hee?

I guess this is what happens when you're bored at work and have nothing to do but twiddle your thumbs trying to wait for your gels to finish running.

With that being said, my gels are done!!

Goodness. I should update more often if this is going to be the outcome.

I'll try to update more often...but no promises.

OH and one more thing...

word has it that it's supposed to
SNOW! next Monday or Tuesday!!!
so break out your gloves and scarves everyone! It's time to build snowmen and make snow angels.
